It is important to focus on managing pain symptoms by encompassing a variety of techniques over time because there are rarely quick fixes for long term pain and discomfort. This involves behavioural and lifestyle changes (eg exercise, healthy diet, stress management) alongside medication to manage the condition. It has often been considered that guided imagery and progressive relaxation techniques can play a part in managing chronic and acute pain, so setting out a sensible, healthy diet and using relaxation, guided imagery and stress management are recommended steps in pain management strategy.

It's about learning ways to calm and relax your mind and body so that your inner self can focus and help you to take control. This healing imagery can give physical and emotional benefits that help decrease discomfort and help you to enjoy life again.
